In this program, you will build in-depth knowledge and technical skills in core courses in urban science, urban informatics, and information and communication technology in cities. Learn to analyze large-scale data and utilize it to address real-world issues that impact our cities both in hands-on classes and exceptional research opportunities throughout New York City.
This program offers the option to specialize in a discipline of informatics based on your career goals, flexibility to focus on a specific urban domain, and a capstone project in which you collaborate on a multidisciplinary team to solve problems that a city agency or industry partner is currently facing.
As a student in this new program, you will earn credentials that can help you elevate your career by improving your data-driven skills, enhancing your understanding of how to collect and analyze large quantities of data, expanding your technical abilities using tools such as Python and GIS, and building a strong foundation in communication and presentation.
This fully remote advanced certificate program provides you with the flexibility to suit your schedule from anywhere in the world and requires only 12 credits to complete. All courses are taught by NYU CUSP’s renowned professors. A 50% tuition discount is currently available for qualified individuals who begin their program in Fall 2022.
