With a Master of Science in Biotechnology or Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship
The NYU Tandon School of Engineering offers two degree options for advanced study in biotechnology—a Master of Science in Biotechnology and a Master of Science in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship. In these programs, you will be immersed in the cutting-edge biotech field, pioneering improvements in areas such as crop sustainability, targeted disease therapies, and pollution prevention.
In this program, you will develop extensive knowledge of the continuously evolving biotechnology industry. Your coursework will provide you with exposure to topics including industrial application of enzymes, bio-polymer synthesis, and modern drug design, with a wide variety of electives that offer a high degree of specialization.
You’ll have the option to hone your research and analytical skills in guided study courses, two of which comprise the research equivalent of a master’s thesis. Demand is strong for our graduates among employers in pharmaceutical companies, medical centers, biotech startups, and research laboratories.
